BBC Introducing Artist RIYA has received continued support from the likes of  Rolling Stone, ITV & BBC (playlisted/track of the week). Featured as ITV’s ‘One To Watch’ in the ‘Granada Introducing’ series, Riya was named a ‘Future Star’; her songwriting, compared to Taylor Swift by Elaine Willcox, live on ITV news.

Most recently, she performed a medley of her original songs’ Money On My Mind’ and ‘Energy’ live on BBC One Sunday Morning Live, her debut TV performance. She was invited by Youth Music and Levi’s to attend this year’s BRITs Afterparty and has been recognised as one of Manchester’s most promising emerging talents, selected for the Factory Sounds Cohort 2025 in partnership with Adidas.

She performed on ‘The Hundred X BBC Introducing Stage’ at Headingley-Stadium (30,000-capacity), headlined ClimateLive at Latitude-Festival (JULY 2024), graced COOP Live Arena and ‘Beyond the Music Festival’ stages (OCT2024). Notable performances also include the Manchester International Festival, The Bridgewater Hall, and Manchester Museum’s festival and Sound From The Other City.

Hailed by Youth Music as ‘One To Watch 2024’, she’s backed by the ‘NEXTGEN’ fund, luxury fashion brand ‘COACH’, and earned Abbey Road Studios Amplify support.

Already having major UK Festival slots lined up for summer 25, RIYA is a force to be reckoned with. She writes and produces all her music, collectively amassing over a million views on YouTube, winning the top 9% ISC songwriting spot from over 30K applications. She’s trained in Ballet, Tap, Modern, Jazz, piano, and classical singing (diploma). POP meets Bollywood meets Opera, RIYA isn’t just one to watch; she’s one to remember.
